Here's to really exciting news...

So both of them are very exciting!
First of all: I got a kitten! Her name is Flickyr. I substituted a y for the i, because it sounds more like a name. Grandma let me get her when we went to the neighbors house to get two male kittens. But I loved Flickyr sooooooooooo much and she would be number 3 and a girl, so I didn't think I stood a chance. But, surprisingly, Grandma said she'd let me get her if I promised to take care of all of them whenever I could. I promised! Grandma said fine then I could pick one. They're were,like, 15, so it would've been hard but I'd already picked Flickyr, so it wasn't really a problem. She asked why I chose that one. I chose her because of her personality. She's very independent and she loves to play/fight. She doesn't trust people easily like the other kittens, so I had to work for it for literally hours! I sat on the grass with her for two hours while she slept on my lap and played with and petted her for about an hours before that. And that was in one sitting! Between the two days I worked to gain her trust, I held/played with/bathed/groomed/spayed for fleas/cuddled/slept/pet/rescued from the tree/rescued from the car/tolerated scratches/loved/fed/watered/changed litterbox/scratched behind her ears/ took pictures/talked to/ and many, many more things I spent about 6 hours with her. Because I love her that much.
Second thing: I won $100 gift certificate for Barnes&Nobles at our library! Tomorrow they're gonna take my picture and put it in the newspaper so watch for me! Gryphon and I are gonna split it 50/50 because we both worked really hard for it. I am sooooo excited. We're gonna plan a tiime to go to Bakersfield and spend it together. I don't know what we'll buy yet but I guess we will eventually!
